Parkland Medical Center and Derry/Salem Home Health & Hospice to Host Bereavement Support Group

Parkland Medical Center, in collaboration with Derry/Salem Home Health & Hospice, will host a six week Bereavement Support Group beginning Tuesday, September 26, 2006 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The group will provide information and support to those who are grieving the loss of a spouse or loved one.

“It is important that those who are grieving from a loss know that there is a support network available,” said Barbara Umansky, MSW, Parkland Medical Center’s Oncology Social Worker. “The group will provide mutual support and participants will learn about the grieving process and coping methods.”

The support group is free and will be held Tuesdays at Derry/Salem Home Health & Hospice, 1E Commons Drive, Unit 31 in Londonderry.
